Hey there!

I’m Tara (pronounced taa-ruh and not quite teh-ruh). In a previous life, I worked in tech sales, wondering all the while where my passions lay. A handful of user-oriented projects, paired with the realization that I love to create led me to user experience. I am excited to problem solve in a space that lies at the intersection of human behavior, intuitive design, and technology - with the ultimate goal of designing more positive experiences for a variety of users.

Outside of UX, I love all things food, travel, photography, and reading (in an ideal scenario, I’m somehow doing all these things at once). Some other current favorites include scallion pancakes, Breaking Bad, film photography, the New York Times daily mini crossword, and karaoke.

The projects showcased here include some of my work for the Master in Information Science at the University of Texas at Austin, as well as contracted projects. I look forward to learning more and leaning into the next stage of my career as a UX research professional!
